Never park your domains with Namedrive.com. Namedrive is a scam!
Here is why. I had 2 domains that was not using. So, I thought I should park them and earn some money. After searching on Google for domain parking sites, I ended up to choose Namedrive. The company seemed OK and they offered good options.
So I parked the domains with them and waited to make $20. That was the minimum requirement in order to get paid.
One day I saw that I had around $19 so the next day I thought to go and visit my control panel and see if I finally reached the $20. But before doing that I wanted to check my email first. And so I did. The first email I found was from Namedrive. I didn’t worried because I thought that that was an email to confirm my payment!
But no, it was big surprise. The email said that my account had been suspended by Namedrive because of illegal traffic! They said that their Terms say that the traffic of the parked domains should be only direct traffic (someone types the URL address directly in the browser) or from a search engine like Google or Yahoo.
In my case they said, this was not happening and they believe that I paid for backlinks and pay per click advertising.
I was so crazy! I never would pay Google Adwords hundreds of dollars to promote my parked domain! Also, I didn’t pay for any other way of advertising or marketing. Before I parked these 2 domains with them, I had some backlinks but the only reason was to get the domains indexed. Otherwise how would anybody find the domains?
I emailed them back telling these things and I also asked them to tell me where was the traffic coming from. If they could prove that the traffic was coming from a site where I paid to advertise, I wouldn’t say anything else and I wouldn’t ask for the money.
They respond was fast. They said that they can’t tell where exactly was the traffic coming but they are sure that it was not what it should be! So, I couldn’t get my account back and of course couldn’t get my $20.
And that’s it. I lost my money.
